Dowling Does Double Duty to Earn Devensive Player of the Week

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK AND HONOR ROLL - Week of October 27, 2012 
Dan Dowling, Westfield, Sr., LB/P, Stoneham, Mass.         
Dowling had a game-high 15 tackles with 14 solo stops in Westfield's loss to Massachusetts Maritime.  On the defensive side of the ball he also forced a fumble.  In addition, Dowling punted seven times for a 43.7 average with five punts dropped inside the Buccaneer 20.

A 25-yard pick six with four tackles, three solo, and one for loss.         
         
Jason Genece, Curry, Sr., LB, Waltham , Mass.         
Team-leading seven tackles (six solo), a sack with a four-yard loss, and a forced fumble.         
         
Jake Laux, MIT, Jr., LB, Dousman, Wis.         
Recorded 14 tackles, the seventh time in eight games he has had 10 or more tackles.         
         
Bryan Narcisse, Worcester, Jr., DL, Medway, Mass.         
A pair of sacks  for -26 yards among his four tackles for loss (-33 yards).         
         
Evan Sheridan, Massachusetts Maritime, Sr., FS, Chelmsford, Mass.        
Recorded seven solo tackles and interception.         
         
Greg Sweeney, Salve Regina, Sr., DB, Fairfield, Conn.         
Six tackles, three for loss including two sacks, and an interception.
